Waiora Moon Circle

Description

You're invited to join us this spring to sit with the moon and tune into the cycles of te maramataka, the lunar calendar. Each Whiro, New Moon, offers us an opportunity to reflect and set intentions. And each Rākaunui, Full Moon, offers us a time to release what no longer serves us in order to open to our own innate wisdom and healing power. Join Waiora Collective practitioners Melody Nixon and Margie Moana Townsend to sit in circle with hinemarama. In this monthly workshop we will engage in rituals of release and calling in, meditation, visualisations, energy work, and embodied touch. Massage will be available to help calm the nervous system and create space for processing thoughts and emotions. We'll share thoughts, feelings, and kai. All are welcome regardless of whether you're new to this, just curious, or you have wisdom to share. Sunday October 19th, 6pm, to welcome Whiro (the new moon) Sunday November 2nd, 6pm, to welcome Rākaunui (the full moon) Friday December 5th, 7pm, to sit with Rākaunui (the full moon). Sessions last approximately 90 minutes and are followed by a shared kai. Entrance is by sliding scale: $25 for unwaged, $45 for waged, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Please wear loose, warm clothing and bring warm socks or slippers. Mauri ora, Melody & Margie Moana
